The year 2010 is off to a great start! The theme for the year is, “Back to Basics”. The month of February includes visitors from two of our veteran missionaries, Terry Ritchard and Terry Broyles, the Teen Valentine Banquet, and the Couples’ Retreat in Gatlinburg. February 28 after the evening service … soup and chowder!
The first offering for Phase II of “Dreams for the Future” will be taken Sunday night, February 14. This year our project is Camp Fairview. Any investment in our camp will certainly reap eternal dividends. A new barn roof, complete makeover of our cabins, renovations to the bath house and swimming pool are but a few of the facility projects on the drawing board. More souls are brought to Christ through Camp Fairview than any other ministry of our church. Please have a part in Dreams for the Future 2010.
This year we are planning two major Sundays in which every Fairview member can have a part. May 2 is Homecoming with approximately 300 invitations being sent to all those who have been touched by this ministry in any way. Sunday, September 26 will be “Community Day”.
While the year is packed with plans, it is imperative that we major on the basics in the midst of everything going on around us. My desire is that Fairview will be a place of prayer, that God’s power would anoint this ministry, and that souls will be saved, believers baptized and Christians grow strong in their faith.
