Sonshine Nursing Home Ministry
Every Sunday afternoon, reaching out into the local community, Fairview members minister and share their time in local nursing homes and assisted living centers, bringing worship and fellowship to those unable to attend our regular morning and evening services. Through singing, preaching, individual fellowship, and encouragement, our desire is to share the love of Christ and the message of His saving sacrifice with these dear friends. The Sonshine ministry welcomes you to share your God given gifts … a willing heart and the essence of your life – time – with those who look forward to our visits each week and are always appreciative.

Weekly Visitation
The Scripture is very clear that God wants us to be personally involved in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ as risen Savior … the only true way to Heaven. One of the ways Fairview carries out that great commission is through our weekly visitation ministry.
Visitation outreach groups meets each Thursday night at 7PM and at specially arranged times throughout the week to go out into our community and share the Gospel with those around us. Door to door and one by one we share what Christ has done in our own lives and offer the message of salvation to others.

Bus Transportation
Each Sunday morning before folks start arriving for Sunday School, the buses roll out to bring in people from all around Athens.
There is always a place of service available in the bus ministry for those willing to visit on Saturday, ride a route as helper on Sunday morning, drive a bus as a regular or substitute, or simply pass on the contact information of those needing a ride.
